Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on July 2025.
We at Virage are working to make our site viragesolutions.org accessible to people with disabilities.
What web accessibility is
An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
At Virage, we are committed to making our online content accessible to all participants and visitors. We have voluntarily adapted this website in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, and aim to meet the Level AA standard.
This website is compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation. As part of this effort, we have:
-
Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues
-
Set the language of the site
-
Set the content order of the site’s pages
-
Structured headings for clear page navigation
-
Added alternative text to images
-
Ensured colour contrast meets accessibility requirements
-
Minimized motion and animations
Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content
While we aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across our website, some third-party platforms or content (such as Google Forms or PayPal interfaces) may not fully conform to accessibility standards. These elements are outside of our direct control. If you experience difficulty accessing any part of the site or its services, please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Accessibility arrangements in the organization
Virage is committed to creating a learning environment that is inclusive and accessible to all participants. We recognize that access needs vary and aim to support learners with disabilities by offering reasonable accommodations within the scope of our online small-group, cohort-based format.
Our live sessions are hosted on Zoom, which includes features such as keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and optional AI-generated live captions (available upon request).
Course materials (PDFs and activity sheets) are designed with readability and screen-reader compatibility in mind. While we do not record sessions or provide written summaries, we will work with participants to identify reasonable ways to support their participation if access barriers arise.
If you have specific access needs or accommodation requests, please contact us at [your email address] prior to the start of the course.
Virage is committed to continuous learning and welcomes feedback to help improve accessibility in our programs.
